The Olathe Downtown Library officially opened on Saturday, April 29, 2023!! The Grand Opening was a huge success with a flag ceremony, ribbon cutting, live music, and many activities for children.
The new library had been months-in-the waiting, and the community couldn’t have been more pleased with the beauty of this great, modern, light-infused space! The 4-story building is a true community center both inside and out at the heart of downtown Olathe.
The 47,000 square foot building includes a large multi-use event space, private meeting rooms, study rooms, rooftop terrace, historical area, café and of course BOOKS!!!
PMA feels honored to have been the structural engineers to pull off the City’s vision on this project alongside DLR Group, Multistudio, McCownGordan, Lane4 and the City of Olathe. The Olathe Library is truly a destination space for growing, exploring, mingling and community!
