As our infrastructure ages, PMA Engineering is actively involved in the renovation and restoration of both buildings and parking structures. This short video shows the removal of deteriorated concrete from a local parking garage using hydro demolition, an alternative to traditional jackhammer removal. The hydro demolition has the advantages of taking less time than jackhammer removal, is significantly quieter than jackhammer removal, causes less damage to the structure (no micro-fracture in the remaining concrete structure), eliminates the dust associated with jackhammer removal and leaves a better substrate for bonding of the fresh concrete.
