PMA Engineering President Erin Rosenthal recently participated in this year’s Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (IGED) Jr, an event designed to give middle school aged girls a hands-on introduction to the engineering industry. With women making up only 21% of the field, it’s crucial to highlight the importance of representation and role models at a young age.
IGED Jr is led by the Society of Women Engineers- Kansas City and brings together professionals from across the region to introduce students to engineering in a fun, approachable way. This was their 10th year hosting the event.
Through hands-on activities, team challenges, and face-to-face conversations with engineers, participants get the chance to explore how creativity and problem-solving come to life in real projects.
PMA Engineering is committed to supporting the next generation of engineers and proud to support initiatives that promote representation in our industry.
We hope to see these students walking through the halls of our office one day!
